Eucharist is Greek for "Thanksgiving" When Jesus appeared to St. Margaret Mary, He was holding His Heart and said:
"Behold this Heart which has so loved men, that it has spared nothing, even to exhausting and consuming itself in order to testify to its love. In return, I have received from the greater part only ingratitude, by their irreverence and their sacrilege, and by the coldness and contempt they have for Me in this sacrament of Love." Let us repair Jesus' Heart, broken by the forgetfulness and ingratitude of men, by loving Him and thanking Him for all those who do not. The best way we can console His Sacred Heart is to receive Him in the Sacrament of Love, in Holy Communion. On Thanksgiving Day, go to Mass and receive Jesus worthily in Holy Communion, in thanksgiving for all the good that He has done for us. Cry out with joy to the Lord all the earth! Serve the Lord with gladness! Come before Him singing for joy... Go within in His gates giving thanks! Enter His courts with songs of praise! Give thanks to Him and bless His Name! PS 100:1-2, 4
