Sunday, November 23 is the Feast of Christ the King. Here is an indulgenced Consecration to prayed on that day: Most sweet Jesus, Redeemer of the human race, look down upon us humbly prostrate before your altar. We are yours and yours we wish to be; but to be more surely united with you, behold each one of us freely consecrates himself today to your most Sacred Heart. Many indeed have never known you; many too, despising your precepts, have rejected you. Have mercy on them all, most merciful Jesus, and draw them all to your Sacred Heart. Be King, O Lord, not only of the faithful who have never forsaken you, but also of the prodigal children who have abandoned you; grant that they may quickly return to their father's house, lest they die of wretchedness and hunger. Be King of those who are deceived by erroneous opinions, or whom discord keeps aloof, and call them back to the harbor of truth and unity of faith, so that soon there may be but one flock and one Shepherd. Grant O Lord, to your Church assurance of freedom and immunity from harm; give peace and order to all nations, and make the earth resound from pole to pole with one cry: Praise to the divine heart that wrought our salvation; to it be glory and honor for ever. Amen.

Eucharist is Greek for "Thanksgiving" When Jesus appeared to St. Margaret Mary, He was holding His Heart and said:
"Behold this Heart which has so loved men, that it has spared nothing, even to exhausting and consuming itself in order to testify to its love. In return, I have received from the greater part only ingratitude, by their irreverence and their sacrilege, and by the coldness and contempt they have for Me in this sacrament of Love." Let us repair Jesus' Heart, broken by the forgetfulness and ingratitude of men, by loving Him and thanking Him for all those who do not. The best way we can console His Sacred Heart is to receive Him in the Sacrament of Love, in Holy Communion. On Thanksgiving Day, go to Mass and receive Jesus worthily in Holy Communion, in thanksgiving for all the good that He has done for us. Cry out with joy to the Lord all the earth! Serve the Lord with gladness! Come before Him singing for joy... Go within in His gates giving thanks! Enter His courts with songs of praise! Give thanks to Him and bless His Name! PS 100:1-2, 4 |
