"We are fools for Christ’s sake, but you are wise in Christ. We are weak, but you are strong. … When reviled, we bless; when persecuted, we endure; when slandered, we try to conciliate; we have become, and are now, as the refuse of the world... I urge you, then, be imitators of me. – St. Paul’s 1st Letter to the Corinthians Ch4
As part of the spirituality of reparation, we strive to make a ceaseless vigil before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, uniting our prayer with the various hours of the Passion. Please join with us in prayer for a little boy that was hurt in an accident. To share your intentions with us, contact us through our website. We remember all of you and ask the Lord to bless you!
An Epiphany tradition: If you select the cupcake with a bean hidden in it, you are the "King" for the day in honor of the Magi, and can ask the Mother Superior anything you wish for 1 day!
CMB has two meanings: Caspar, Melchior, Balthasar (traditional names of the 3 magi) OR "Christus Mansionem Benedicat" (May Christ bless this home)
Today we enjoyed participating in the Blessing of the house for Epiphany with the Sisters of the Divine Redeemer with a procession of carols as Fr. Kirby blessed all the different rooms of the convent.
A rocky start to the New Year! The unseasonably warm day gave Mother the chance to smooth and grade our gravel driveway before the next freeze.
