Profession of Vows |
| |
|
The
profession of vows marks the beginning of Junior Profession
when the Sister is called to deepen and complete her spiritual,
apostolic and technical formation.
She is introduced to the specific work and activities
of the Institute
and commits herself to the vows of Chastity, Poverty and
Obedience
for the sake of the Kingdom of God and in imitation of
Jesus Christ. |
| |

Mother
Superior questions the novice to
determine her readiness to serve Christ
faithfully. |
|

Called
by God to live our baptismal
consecration more fully through our
vows,
we dedicate ourselves totally to Him.
|
|
| |

The
black veil is a sign of the Sister's
consecration to Christ, her Bridegroom |
|

Our
goal is to follow Christ more closely -
He who was chaste, poor and obedient
|
|
| |

The
cincture now has three knots representing
the vows of Chastity, Poverty and Obedience
|
| |

As
consecreated Religious we witness to
the heavenly goods that await us
