Promised Graces for Venerating
the Image of the Divine Mercy
Jesus
said, “I am
offering people a vessel with which they are to keep
coming for graces to the fountain of mercy. That vessel
is this image with the signature: Jesus, I trust in
You.” (Diary - Divine Mercy
in My Soul, 327)
“By means of this image I shall be
granting many graces to souls; so let every soul have
access to it.” (Diary,
570)
He also said,
“I promise that the soul
that will venerate this image will not perish.”
(Diary, 48) This
echoes the scripture, “It is My Father's
will that whoever sees the Son and believes in him should
have eternal life and that I should raise that person
up on the last day.”
(Jn 6:40). Jesus
also promised victory over one’s enemies already
here on earth, and “especially
at the hour of death.”
(Diary, 48) He said,
“I Myself will
defend it as My own glory.”
(Diary, 48)
When Our
Lord appeared to St. Faustina in the Divine Mercy Image,
He gave us a great gift. A family in Louisiana
told us this story: When Hurricane Andrew hit, they
pinned a Divine Mercy print to their front door. For
two blocks around their home, every house was destroyed;
theirs was the only one left intact—and the picture
of Jesus was still left pinned to the front door—because
Jesus is power. Our Lord tells us, “My
mercy acts in souls through
this work.”
